R&D IBS Participant - Batch 1 (2026)
Alyssa Devi Permata
Alyssa Devi Permata is a fresh graduate (Class of 2024) from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), majoring in Accounting, with a cumulative GPA of 3.64/4.00.
Her business idea is to transform Tasikmalaya's traditional kelom geulis into comfortable, everyday footwear that preserves its cultural craftsmanship while appealing to modern consumers. By improving the product's ergonomics without compromising its distinctive hand-carved identity, she aims to expand its market beyond ceremonial use, creating more consistent income opportunities for local artisans.
Rather than competing in the mass footwear industry, her strategy focuses on authenticity, design, and cultural value, with the long-term goal of validating domestic demand and preparing the product for export as a unique lifestyle brand from Tasikmalaya.
