Our Curriculum

The Strategic Holistic Modules

Our curriculum is designed to mirror the real journey a Tasikmalaya exporter would take: starting from mindset and context, building market and product knowledge, learning how to execute a transaction, understanding regulatory realities, and finally translating everything into career and livelihood opportunities.

Each stage builds directly on what came before. Experts are encouraged to read this flow before developing their module content, so they can see clearly how their module connects to the ones around it.

Mindset & Context - Why export? Why Tasikmalaya?

Before any technical content, participants need two things: a genuine export mindset (M1) and a clear understanding of the local environment they are starting from (M2). Module 3 then establishes that most of Tasikmalaya's exportable products come from agriculture and natural resources, and that sustainable practices are not optional extras but prerequisites for premium market access. These three modules answer the question: 'Should we export, and what do we have to export?'

MARKET & STRATEGY — Where and how do we enter?

With a product in mind and a sustainability foundation, participants now learn to make rigorous market and strategy decisions. Module 4 provides the tools to screen and select target markets using data. Module 5 ensures the product can meet that market's requirements. Module 6 turns market selection into an entry plan with modes, partners, and milestones. Module 7 builds the cultural and relationship skills to execute that plan across borders. Module 8 ensures the financial structure is viable. Module 9 teaches participants how to find and approach real buyers — guided by Market Pull intelligence about what the market wants. These six modules answer: 'Which market, how do we enter, and what does it cost?'

EXECUTION — How do we get the product there and get paid?

Strategy without execution is aspiration. Modules 10 and 11 cover the operational reality of moving a product from a Tasikmalaya factory to an overseas buyer. Module 10 covers the full transaction cycle: documentation, customs, payment, and insurance. Module 11 covers the physical logistics chain: transport modes, freight rates, trade ports, and marine insurance. Together these two modules answer: 'How does a Tasikmalaya shipment actually leave Indonesia and reach the buyer?'

REGULATORY RESILIENCE — What legal and compliance risks must we manage?

Export operations do not end at shipment. Participants must understand the political and legal risks present in every target market before entering (M12), and how to manage the regulatory and contractual challenges that arise after market entry (M13). These modules answer: 'What can go wrong legally and regulatorily, and how do we protect the business?'
