Muhammad Rafi Al Ghifari is a final-year student from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), majoring in English Education, with a cumulative GPA of 3.85/4.00.

His business idea is to develop Mendoong, an eco-conscious lifestyle brand that transforms Tasikmalaya's traditional mendong grass into premium home décor and fashion accessories for international markets. By combining contemporary design, sustainable production, and artisan craftsmanship, he aims to reposition mendong products as high-value exports that appeal to environmentally conscious consumers and businesses.

 

Through a fair-trade, community-based model, he seeks to empower local farmers and weavers with stable incomes, modern design training, and greater market access while promoting Tasikmalaya's weaving heritage as a globally recognised symbol of sustainable living.
