Wim De Herdt is the founder and CEO of DEHA + Partners (Antwerp, Belgium), a corporate strategy and project management consultancy he has led since 1991.

Trained as a transport and logistics economist (University of Antwerp) with an MBA from INSEAD, France, he built his early career in shipping, port operations and airline management before spending seven years as Director of Marketing and Board member at DAF Trucks, and later as General Manager of DAF Belgium.

 

Over more than three decades of independent consulting, he has advised governments, ports and private companies across Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia — including feasibility and location studies for harbour projects in Indonesia and Oman, EU-funded port efficiency programs in India, and investment assessments for the Government of West Java. He has also served as Court-appointed administrator and turnaround manager for a number of European industrial companies, and as senior advisor to PA Consulting's Europe, Asia and Middle East practices.

He is fluent in Dutch, French, English, German, Spanish and Italian, and currently based between Antwerp and Tasikmalaya, Indonesia.
