R&D IBS Participant - Batch 1 (2026)
Zahra Safira Masterina
Zahra Safira Masterina is a fresh graduate (Class of 2025) from the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIK), majoring in Nutrition (Gizi), with a cumulative GPA of 3.78/4.00.
Her business idea is to develop export-ready processed banana blossom products from Tasikmalaya as premium plant-based seafood alternatives for international markets.
By transforming an underutilised agricultural by-product into value-added products such as banana blossoms in brine, frozen vacuum-packed banana blossoms, and seasoned vegan seafood alternatives, she aims to create new income opportunities for local banana farmers while meeting the growing global demand for sustainable, plant-based foods.
Through standardised processing, halal certification, compelling branding, and export-focused marketing, she aims to position Tasikmalaya as a competitive supplier of innovative plant-based food products in international markets.
